DEATH RACE 28th MAY
This weekend our favourite coffee shop Deluxe, is hosting a prison style death race for all skaters and cyclists in Cape Town. The race begins at 11am on Saturday (28 May) morning at the cableway on table mountain and ends at Deluxe. No rules, no route, just race. The first person to get to Deluxe will win some super cool prizes sponsored by Sailor Jerry, Verb& Globe and of course some cash moneys. Sign up at Deluxe. Its only fifty bucks! And dont forget, prison rules apply...which means there are no rules!

FABRIC OF TIME AT FICTION
On Friday 6th of May, the Cape Town bar & club Fiction was host to an epic night of highest caliber music & artist entertainment! With Shelflife Store & Casio G-Shock providing a unique custom G-Shock “watch art” exhibition and Dj Ali B (a resident from Club Fabric in London) spinning his signature beats...this unique club & art event was massive success & as a first-of-its-kind...definitely was one for the history books!
5 established Cape Town artists, comprising of 3 graffiti artists, 2 graphic designers/ illustrators each painted or customised artistically directly onto a G-SHOCK watch as a “canvas” to exhibit & sell on the opening night, in addition supplied 3 unique A4 size paintings/ works to exhibit & sell. Each artist was allocated a wall and a “perspex display case” to customize in their own interpretation of the theme: “FABRIC OF TIME”. The art itself will remain on display for the entire month of May.
Artist included DR.ZVLV, TOE, FERS*YNDICATE, DANIEL TING CHONG & SLATE

Saturday 16 April PaintingTheTown and Shelflife presented ARTLIFTMENT Park Jam at good old Searle Street. Searle Street has a long history in the Cape Town graffiti scene and it didn't looking too good before we got there. The ARTLIFTMENT Park Jam aim was to rejuvenate Searle Street with one of the biggest murals in years!!
There were about 30 artists painting. You could paint by invitation only. The writers selected represent all major crews and every side of Cape Towns most active graffiti artists at present.
